2. Principles
We process personal data solely in accordance with the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act. Using this website is generally possible without providing personal data.
We use no cookies, no analytics tools, no social media integrations and no advertising technologies. Fonts and all design elements are delivered together with the website by our hosting provider (section 3); no further external providers such as font services are called.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by a service provider processing data on our behalf. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place.
Hosting provider: Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. [Conclude the data processing agreement with Netlify before publication]
[Draft — subject to legal review] Netlify also processes data in the United States. According to Netlify, it participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the transfer relies on the European Commission's adequacy decision under Article 45 GDPR.
On each access the server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser:
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- referrer URL, that is the previously visited page
- host name of the accessing device and IP address
- time and date of the server request
- volume of data transferred and status code
Legal basis and retention
Processing is based on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in technically correct presentation and in the stability and security of our website. This data is not combined with other sources.
Server log files are deleted after seven days at the latest, unless needed longer to investigate a specific security incident. [Check log retention at Netlify]
4. Contact, enquiry and partner forms
[Draft — subject to legal review] This section describes form processing via our hosting provider Netlify. It must be reviewed by a lawyer before publication.
When you submit a form on this website — the contact form, the forms for land, investment and direct investment, or an expression of interest on the “Become a partner” page — your browser transmits your entries to our hosting provider Netlify (section 3). Netlify stores the submission in our customer account and notifies us by email at info@bravepowergroup.com. We handle the enquiry from there and delete the submission at Netlify according to the periods set out below.
We process the details you enter in the respective form — depending on the form, for example name, company, email address, telephone number, details of a site or a search profile, partner category, area of operation and capacity, or type and range of an investment — as well as the time of submission and the wording of your consent.
The purpose is to handle your enquiry; for the forms on the “Become a partner” page, to assess a possible collaboration. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where your enquiry serves to initiate a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future; an informal message to info@bravepowergroup.com is sufficient.
To protect against automated mass submissions, Netlify automatically checks incoming submissions for spam; a field invisible to people serves the same purpose. [Check Netlify's spam filtering in detail] The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working form protected against misuse under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We delete expressions of interest submitted via the “Become a partner” page once the review is complete if no collaboration results. All other enquiries we delete once they have been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply — in particular commercial and tax retention periods of six and ten years respectively, where the correspondence forms part of a business transaction.
This website does not accept documents or evidence. If we request them after the initial review, we do so through a separate channel, which we will tell you about at that point.
The email notification is transmitted via the servers of Netlify and of our email provider, who act on our behalf. Email provider: [please add]
If transmission fails, the website offers to prepare the message in your email client instead. In that case you decide yourself whether and with what content to send it.
5. Retrieval of current power prices (market window)
This website shows a day-ahead price curve. By default it is loaded from a snapshot stored on our own server when the site was built. No connection to third parties arises in doing so.
In the market window you can deliberately trigger a retrieval from SMARD, the platform of the German Federal Network Agency (www.smard.de), using the “Load current prices” button. Only then does your browser connect there and transmit technically necessary data, in particular your IP address. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given by pressing the button.
Without pressing that button no such retrieval takes place. The Federal Network Agency's own privacy notice applies to its processing.
6. Applications
If you send us an application, we process your application data to conduct the recruitment procedure on the basis of section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
If no employment relationship results, we delete your documents no later than six months after the procedure ends, unless you have expressly consented to longer storage.
7. External links and map display
This website embeds no third-party map or video services. The location map on the contact page is our own graphic without data transmission.
We merely link to external map services and sources. Only when you actively click such a link is data transmitted to the respective provider, whose privacy terms then apply.
8. Data security
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in the address bar and the padlock symbol in your browser.
We also take technical and organisational measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss, destruction and unauthorised access, and adapt them to technical developments.
9. Your rights
As a data subject you have the following rights:
- Access (Art. 15)
- the right to information about the data processed concerning you.
- Rectification (Art. 16)
- the right to have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed.
- Erasure (Art. 17)
- the right to erasure, insofar as no statutory retention obligations apply.
- Restriction (Art. 18)
- the right to restriction of processing.
- Portability (Art. 20)
- the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Objection (Art. 21)
- the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdrawal (Art. 7(3))
- the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
Exercising your rights and right to complain
An informal message to info@bravepowergroup.com is sufficient to exercise your rights.
Independently of this you have a right to complain to a supervisory authority under Article 77 GDPR. Normally competent is the authority at our registered office: Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
10. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making including profiling under Article 22 GDPR takes place on this website.
11. Changes to this notice
We adapt this privacy notice when changes to the website or the legal position require it. The version published here applies.
Status: September 2026
Note on legal review
This privacy notice and the imprint are tailored to the present, data-minimising structure of this website: no cookies, no tracking, no embedded third-party services. Forms are received on our behalf by our hosting provider Netlify; section 4 describes this and is marked as a draft until it has been reviewed by a lawyer.
As soon as functions are added — a newsletter, embedded maps or videos, analytics tools or an applicant portal — both texts must be extended. We recommend having the final version reviewed by a lawyer before publication; these texts do not constitute legal advice.
